In-office Endometrial Ablation is now available at The Women’s Center for women who suffer heavy periods and/or abnormal vaginal bleeding. This procedure is an alternative to hysterectomy in many cases that destroys the inner lining (endometrial) of the uterus during a procedure that allows for little down time from home or work. Endometrial Ablation is minimally invasive and can be comfortably performed with administration of oral medications and local anesthetic. The procedure itself takes approximately 20-30 minutes to complete and is tolerated very well.
