“I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Gearity. He is a good listener with a gentle bedside manner and good sense of humor, who strives for individualized care to improve the quality of life for his patients. He is also a down-to-earth, genuinely compassionate and nice person, loving husband and father, who is a dedicated and excellent doctor who truly cares about his patients. Dr. Gearity’s endometrial ablation or “novasure” procedure turned my life around 360 degrees!!! This “laser” surgery with minimal recovery time (two to four days) is a simple and quick solution that is superior to the hysterectomy in many ways. But, best of all, I no longer have crippling and life-interrupting pain or excessive and embarrassing accidents to cause me to miss work or cancel family functions. And as a single mom with no room for a lengthy recovery time in my busy life, this procedure was the perfect solution.

Now, I am not one to rush into getting medical procedures. But, I was suffering so much, that I had reached the point where I was desperate! I have also always preferred female gynecologists as I felt they were easier to talk to and more compassionate and considerate of their female patients. However, Dr. Gearity’s unending patience and willingness to take the time to answer all my exhaustive questions, coupled with his amazingly gentle manner and visible compassion for my suffering and frustration, as well as his obvious expertise and ability to explore the best option and solution with me, and for me, convinced me to place my life in his hands.

Additionally, his gentleness, good will, and professionalism is reflected in his staff. Have you ever stopped seeing a good doctor because of rude, inattentive, or incompetent staff? Well, that will never be the case at the Women’s Center. It is obvious that Dr. Gearity cares as much about his staff as he does his family and his patients. They all work well together, help each other, and seem genuinely happy to be on the job taking care of the patients. What sweet, lovely, and intelligent young women! Eighteen months later, I can honestly say that having this procedure was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life; I only wish I hadn’t put it off for as long as I did.

There just is no longer any reason for a woman to suffer every month… not with Dr. Gearity to the rescue! At almost 7 feet tall, he is a gentle giant in more ways than one. Dr. Gearity is not only an excellent doctor, but a kind, patient, and empathetic human being. I highly recommend him!”
